Filler

The packing is arranged between the cylinder and the middle body to seal the gas inside the cylinder, preventing it from leaking along the gap between the cylinder and the piston rod. Lubrication, cooling, protective gas, and leak recovery can be set according to different needs.

Principle of packing ring sealing

When there is no gas pressure, the two rings hold the piston rod tightly under the action of the tension spring; When the gas enters the annular groove with axial and radial clearances, the gas pressure (back pressure) causes the two sealing rings to tightly adhere to the surface of the piston rod and the end face of the annular groove, thereby forming a seal; There is an anti rotation pin between the two sealing rings to prevent them from rotating relative to each other, thus sealing off the gas leakage path.

At this point, due to the presence of axial and radial clearances, the ring can still float freely in the ring groove, thereby compensating for the piston rod's runout.

Intermediate filling material

• Installed on the partition between the two intermediate bodies of the compressor
• Plays an auxiliary sealing role
• Usually without cooling water or lubrication points

Oil scraper ring

The function of the oil scraper ring is to prevent the lubricating oil in the crankcase and body from flowing through the piston rod to the middle body or cylinder, thereby contaminating the compression medium.

Working principle:

• Each group of oil scraper rings should have at least two pieces, and the gap between the openings of the two pieces should be staggered by positioning pins.
• Due to the almost no back pressure on the oil scraper ring, all the force required to hold the piston rod tightly comes from the tension spring.
